E27 Arçelik washing machine E27 error: water level not rising

What it means

According to Arçelik, error E27 means the water level in the tub is not rising and the door-locked signal is not reaching the board.

Arçelik's first advice is to check that the drain hose is connected to the drain correctly. If the hose is too low or pushed deep into the pipe, water can run out by itself while the machine fills, so the level never rises.

Likely causes

Possible causes:

• the drain hose is connected to the drain incorrectly: too low or too deep in the pipe;
• the door is not shut firmly, so the lock does not confirm it is locked;
• a weak water supply (the tap is not fully open);
• less often, a faulty door lock, water level sensor or control board.

Safe steps you can try

1. Unplug the machine.
2. Check the drain hose connection as your manual describes (the section on connecting the drain hose to the drain): the end of the hose must be fixed at the right height and not pushed deep into the pipe.
3. Make sure the water tap is fully open.
4. Open the door and shut it firmly — no laundry should be caught between the door and the seal.
5. Switch the machine on and start the programme again.

When to call a technician

If the hose is connected correctly, the door shuts firmly and E27 still comes back, the machine needs a diagnosis.

The technician will check the door lock, the water level sensor and its tube, the inlet valve and the control board and fix the fault.
