E06 Altus washing machine error E06 — heating fault

What it means

If your Altus washing machine shows E06: the appliance cannot heat the water to the selected temperature.

Likely causes

Burnt-out heating element, heavy limescale on the element, faulty temperature sensor or wiring, relay on the control board.

Safe steps you can try

Unplug for a few minutes, plug back in and repeat the program. Watch out for low mains voltage.

When to call a technician

If the error returns, the heating element and temperature sensor must be tested with a multimeter.
